Mentoring
Xe-NOR Executives are natural mentors. When
we reflect on our own careers, we all agree that mentors have had a profound
impact on our ability to achieve value-centered results. Frankly, when
we face dilemmas, we often ask ourselves, what would our mentor have done
in this situation and as a result, we find solutions. Mentoring is a source
of inspiration for all of us at
Xe-NOR.
We know from our own experience the importance of mentoring to professional
development and organization vitality. Xe-NOR has therefore designed
a custom mentoring program that emphasizes professional development
that is aligned with the achievement of the mission and strategic
objectives of the organization. We mentor managers and professionals
to facilitate:
- A common language
that will enhance their ability to communicate effectively between
different levels of the organization,
- Long-term results
rather than short sighted commitment to day to day emergencies,
- An understanding
of the interdependency of functions and the need to manage for
the overall good of the organization, and

Many of our clients call on us to mentor a manager/executive
or sales executive. By partnering a Xe-NOR executive with an aspiring
manager, clients have achieved breakthrough results.

How can a Xe-NOR Mentor
help? |

Our executive mentors bring a high
level of practical experience and expertise to the table. Further,
Xe-NOR Mentors are able to communicate this information in a non-threatening
manner. We use a focused approach that initially assesses the strengths
as well as the developmental needs of the candidate. This assessment
helps us develop a specific mentoring program that will achieve the
desired results. |

How does the mentoring process work;
and how much time does it take? |

We designed the Xe-NOR Mentoring Process
from a practical perspective. Normally, you will see results within
a six to twelve month period. Once the needs and objectives are determined
(one to two days) the mentoring program takes place in your facilities.
The Xe-NOR Mentor meets with the candidate for one or two days per
month on a scheduled basis. Our “down to earth” training
process utilizes existing situations that both enhance the learning
experience as well as enables success stories that increase the candidates'
self-confidence. |

How do our clients ensure that the
initial program satisfies their needs and how do they monitor results
to ensure that objectives are being met in a timely manner? |

We work closely with our clients in
the initial stages of program design. This occurs by utilizing information
and advice of management, peers and the candidates themselves to develop
the “Needs Assessment List ". Once this exercise is completed,
we document the developmental needs and program objectives to ensure
that both management and the candidate buy in to the proposal. Throughout
the program's duration, we provide an ongoing review and assessment
to both parties to ensure we deliver on our pre-agreed objectives. |

Can a Xe-NOR Mentor help our sales
executives too? |

In the case of sales staff development,
clients require sales executives who need knowledge on how to achieve
both sales and margin objectives. We use a totally integrated approach
that emphasizes the role of the sales executive in reaching the overall
objectives and strategies of the organization. As an example of this,
we worked with one of our clients on a project to expand their dealer
network. This project expanded the candidate’s base of knowledge
of all of the processes necessary for success such as; Existing Network
Assessment, Target Account Development, Approach Program, Monitoring
Process and Sales Staff Motivation. |
