Josette Massy-Forget, B.A., M.Sc., APR

Josette Massy-Forget is a recognized leader in the Communications and Public Relations sector. In 1982, after completing a master’s degree and pursuing post graduate studies in science, Josette founded the consulting firm that still bears her name. The author of various articles and publications for both the scientific and business communities, she has concentrated her professional expertise on managing and developing her company, while providing strategic communications counsel to the firm's broad base of prominent clients.

Her firm, Massy-Forget Public Relations, has become one of the best known in the Quebec market, offering services of the highest quality to national and international clients.

In 2002, Josette handed over her firm to her daughter Mylène and is now acting as Chairwoman.

Josette is a pioneer at work and in the community and has always encouraged young people to develop their professional skills. She has acted as their mentor on numerous occasions. Amongst her long list of accomplishments, Josette:

  • Co-founded the Alliance des cabinets de relations publiques du Québec (Alliance of Quebec Public Relations Firms) and was elected president of the organization in 2002;
  • Actively participated in the committee for the renewal of Marché Bonsecours in Montreal in 1997;
  • Served on the jury of the Pearson's Award (presented by the Governor General of Canada) in 1993;
  • Created, for the Chamber of Commerce of Quebec, the Committee for the Promotion of Women in Business in 1984.
Josette participates or participated as:
  • Member of The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal since 1982;
  • Governor of the Junior Board of Trade of Montreal in 1995;
  • Member of the Board of Directors and was a member of the Marketing Committee of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra from 1992 to 1995;
  • Director of the Théâtre populaire du Québec between 1988 and 1991; and
  • Member of the Board of Directors of the Société des relationnistes du Québec, and co-chairman of the association's annual convention in 1990.

Josette has developed exceptional insights into how to inspire organizations of all kinds through the different challenges or conflicts that they may face. An expert in Communications, she also masters administrative skills which would allow her to implement, restructure or develop communications for organizations. She has a wealth of wisdom to share with Xe-NOR clients.
