Jean-Marc Duval

Jean-Marc Duval served for thirty-five years in the Canadian diplomatic service including the last nine years as Consul General or Ambassador. Throughout these years he has lived in nine different cities over a twenty-three year period. A bilingual executive, he has also worked in German, Spanish and Portuguese.

Jean-Marc has acquired a solid knowledge of world affairs and of the global business environment. He succeeded in representing the overall interests of the Canadian government including on the commercial scene, his forte. He has played an important role in strengthening the economic relationship between Canadian and foreign businesses.

Jean-Marc knows how to leverage his international diplomatic and commercial network to the benefit of Canadian firms.  By drawing on his international commercial experience, he will collaborate with Canadian firms to help them achieve their international business development objectives.

Jean-Marc holds a M.Sc. (Business Administration) from the University of British Columbia, a B.A.A from Écoles des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montreal and a Certificate of Advanced European Studies from the College of Europe.
