At Pratt & Whitney Canada Inc, Clifford was Vice President, Customer Support and Vice President, Turboshaft (Helicopter) Engines. At Bombardier Aerospace Clifford was Vice President and General Manager, Bombardier Business Aircraft and President, Business JetSolutions.

Clifford holds a Masters in Engineering from Cranfield Institute of Technology, England and an MBA from Cornell University.
