Alan has over 30 years of international experience in the engineering contracting business. This includes 25 years as a senior executive with Tessag KSH Ltd and its predecessor companies which manage major capital project work throughout the world. Besides providing leadership at the Board and management level of Tessag TSH, Alan also undertook an intercorporate responsibility with its European parent – a major energy conglomerate.

Alan is the current chair of the Board of the Canadian Commercial Corporation.  Besides his Crown corporation work, Alan is Chair of the Audit Committee for the Department of Veterans Affairs Canada.  He is on the Board of Northstar Trade Finance, a financial institution supporting Canadian companies requiring small cap export financing.

Mr. Curleigh is also active in promoting corporate governance in Canada as well as giving back to the University community.  He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Business Faculty of the University of New Brunswick, his alma mater, and is a visiting faculty member at the Directors College, a corporate governance institution established through the collaboration of the Conference Board of Canada and McMaster University.

Alan has been a strong contributor to Canada's international trade direction by representing Canadian industry in its engagement with government in this process. He has spent many years working on various committees and boards in support of Canada’s international trade agenda.
